Hope you’re enjoying a more relaxed summer, perhaps like the real estate market ?? Well, relative to a couple months back, that would be accurate.
Still lots of buyer confidence in Connecticut, still buyer confidence in general, all over the USA. Still multiple offers and lower inventory across the board locally, even though our supply has crept up some.
You may also be interested to know that yes, home buyers in Connecticut are still coming from New York to our fair state, but in smaller numbers than before – whereas last year, for example, 30+% of the Coldwell Banker buyers came from NYC to Westport on average (40% in Weston !), this year our office has seen a drop to about 20%. This still represents a much larger chunk than the days prior to the pandemic.
Definitely some seasonality at play too right now as we approach the dog days of summer – perhaps because of more folks on vacation, or perhaps some just taking a breather from the market ’til Fall.
Have a glance at the market stats below with the knowledge that every town around us has increased in value year over year, some more than 30%, and enjoy every moment you can of the summer.
