How's The Market? June 2020

Dear Friends,

Well, we’ve weathered some major changes to our market through the Covid pandemic. First, the big pause, then the big heat-up, fueled by the minions of “fleeing New Yorkers” who want in on all that our wonderful area has to offer.

In Westport alone, the number of buyer transactions involving those moving from New York by the end of May has doubled, year over year according to MLS statistics.

Though recent sales figures have not shown the whole picture yet, we are experiencing a very high volume of sales compared to last year, with much lower inventory, causing many multiple offer situations — which will reflect in closed transactions within the next month or two – with some sales way over the asking price.
